GROWTH PLANNING COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP

The membership of the Growth Planning Council contained in Executive Order 00-2 is hereby amended as follows:

1. The Council shall consist of 30 members, 11 members of which shall constitute a Steering Committee as follows: the Director of the Department of Environmental Management; the Director of the Economic Development Corporation; the Chief of the Statewide Planning Office; the Director of the Department of Transportation; the Executive Director of the Economic Policy Council; the Governor's Policy Director or designee; a representative of Grow Smart; a representative from the League of Cities and Towns; a representative of the Rhode Island Builders Association; a representative of the Nature Conservancy; and a member with expertise in urban/minority issues. The remaining members of the Council shall be as follows: two (2) members of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, consisting of one (1) member of the majority and one (1) member of the minority; two (2) members of the Rhode Island Senate, consisting of one (1) member of the majority and one (1) member of the minority; the General Manager of the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority; the Executive Director of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation; the General Manager of the Water Resources Board; the Administrator of the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers; the Executive Director of Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation; the Commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; the Executive Director of the Coastal Resources Management Council; a representative of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council; a representative of the AFL/CIO; a representative of the Rural Lands Coalition; a representative of the Rhode Island Bankers Association; a representative of the Rhode Island Section - American Planning Association; a representative of Save the Bay; a representative of New England Electric Systems; and a member with expertise in urban/minority issues.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon the date hereof.
