TO THE HONORABLE, THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES:
In accordance with the provisions of Rhode Island General Laws § 43-1-4, I am transmitting herewith, with my disapproval, 2001-H-6495, "An Act Relating to Central FallsÑRevaluation."
This bill would change the time period for Central Falls to conduct revaluation to December 31, 2001.
This bill was introduced and passed by the General Assembly in support of a Resolution passed by the City Council of Central Falls on June 8, 2001. Subsequently, the City Council President indicated that the Council no longer supports this bill and requested a veto. The bill's sponsor concurs with this action.
For the foregoing reasons, I disapprove of this legislation and respectfully urge your support of this veto.
