CONTINUATION OF GOVERNOR'S COMMISSION ON DREDGING

WHEREAS, the Governor's Commission on Dredging was established for a sixty-day term to provide the Governor with a report recommending a comprehensive scatewide dredging plan; and

WHEREAS, the United Staces Army Corps of Engineers has offered its assistance in this task: and the Commission desires to avail itself of the expertise and resources of the Corps of Engineers; and

WHEREAS, the initial term of the Commission has expired and more time is necessary to properly complete the plan.

MOW, THEREFORE, I, LINCOLN C. ALMOND, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor under the Constitution of the Stace of Rhode Island and R.I. Gen. Laws § 30-15-9, hereby Order that:

1. The Governor's Commission on Dredging established by Executive Order 96-4 shall continue to meet, as determined by the Chairman and shall deliver to the Governor a recommended action plan on or before September 30, 1996.

Executive Order 96-4 and this Executive Order shall supersede and rescind Executive Order 93-4 and shall ta]c effect immediacely upon the date hereof.
