Executive Order 98-02.1

EXPANSION OF MEMBERSHIP OF THE ECONOMIC POLICY COUNCIL

WHEREAS, on March 4, 1998, Executive Order 98-2 reestablished the Economic Policy Council; and

WHEREAS, the purposes of the Economic Policy Council are served by increasing the size of the Council by one public member;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LINCOLN ALMOND, by the authority vested in me as the Governor of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, do hereby order as follows:

Executive Order 98-2 shall be amended to read in pertinent part as follows:

III. The Council shall be comprised of twenty (20) members as follows:

A. The Governor;

B. The Executive Director of the EDC;

C. Sixteen (16) public members chosen by the Governor;

D. The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State or designee, as an ex officio member;

E. The Majority Leader of the Senate of the State or designee as an ex officio member;

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon the date hereof.
